It is impossible to convey how happy I am with this Maytag cooktop, it is superb! The distance between the burner and the grates improves the efficiency of the cooktop dramatically, as compared to my other cooktop. Actually there is no comparison to any other cooktop I have ever used! A beautiful addition to my kitchen, and since the burners are not embedded into the cooktop it is so much easier to clean! Wish I hadn't waited so long to get the Maytag, best choice ever!

This is the 3rd gas stove we™€™ve owned but the first Maytag. It gets 5 Stars for the look and style but I gave it a two for performance. It™€™s impossible to control the heat™€¦all the burners cook way too hot except the small simmer one. I am very disappointed in this appliance.

Overall cooktop works fine, easy to clean & looks great. My only complaint is that the igniter is too sensitive, you have to be careful because the slightest amount of weight on the knobs will cause the igniter to start clicking.

Just got the unit installed a week ago but so far I'm very happy with the cooktop. The burners are set up differently from my old unit so I'm gettin used to which ones I use most. It seems much stronger than the old unit meaning it heat things faster and it looks great!

What I don™€™t like is that it seems to take longer to get the heat setting up where I need to boil water or sear steaks. Gas Cooktop Model MGC7536DS

Ter & Lin in Glen 7/10/2024

When the Cooktop was initially installed all burners were set to high from the factory and my wife and I could not use any burner for simmering as the pot contents would continue to boil. However, a Service Technician was sent to our home within a few days of calling Maytag Customer Service and adjusted all burners. We can now adjust the burners low enough to simmer pot contents. We are now very pleased with the performance of the cooktop overall and we especially like the ability to move pots across the grates without having to lift the pot as the grates form a continuous surface unlike our prior gas cooktop. If the burners had been correctly set to allow simmering of pot contents our rating would have been a 5. My wife and I highly recommend this gas cooktop.

Igniter went out!

I've had this stove for only 2 years in a newly built home. The stove is nice, but the igniter/spark has always been faulty. Now, it has went out. This is not a great experience, especially when you don't have a warranty for these types of products.

I would like to let you know that I am not happy with this cook top. 1. The burner arrangement is defective. The right front burner is not far enough from the front so I get uneven heating. The grill is to high so the cooking time is extended. The levels of the heat distribution is not adequate. The low is not calibrated low enough. There is no adjustment for an extra low flame.

I just got this cooktop and it's not as represented in the website pictures. The print around the knobs, when looking straight down at them, is almost invisible and unreadable, unlike the picture in the website which shows the print being sharp, black, and very easy to read. I called Maytag and registered a complaint and was told that I may or may not get a response. That was over a week ago and I've heard nothing. This is inexcusable. Either they misrepresented the product in the picture, or they sent me a defective product. Either way, they owe me a response and an appropriate action. I paid more for the name Maytag because I thought that would assure me of getting something I would be proud to have in my kitchen. That was a big mistake. What I got is embarrassing. And the company's lack of response is a disgrace. It is also not nearly as easy to clean as they claim. They grossly exaggerated that feature.

My old Maytag cooktop had ceramic grates and electronic ignitors.. Over time the ceramic began to chip away and didn't look as nice. However, the real real I purchased a new cooktop was because my coffee pot overflowed and water got into the electronics and shorted out the ignitors. For a long time I has to use a lighter to light the cooktop. after a while I wearied of constantly lighting the cooktop with the hand lighter. It took me a while to get used to the larger sized cooktop. The grates were cast iron and higher than the last one. However, now that I've learned how it operates, I love it. The only issue I had was that it was a bit expensive. Nonetheless, I don't expect to ever have to buy another one.

Great cooking and Easy cleaning

This was a warranty replacement. I was thinking it wouldn™€™t be as good as the original but it is much better. I love cooking/eating bacon and the splattered grease can be difficult to clean up as it tends to smear streaks on the surface. But this new cooktop is very easy to clean, the grates are not as heavy as the previous one and the surface just wipes clean with a paper towel and leaves on grease residue.

Love the burners grids. No faulty welds to cause uneven levels. My pots and pans sit firm on the stop top. The burners even the smallest do not go low enough. They remain hot even on the lowest setting and I can™€™t find a diffuser thick enough to avoid burning.

I love my cooktop but it is difficult to keep clean. I have places where water splashed out and dried on but I can't get it off the stainless steel so you can see a water ring. I have tried vinegar and stainless steel cleaner/polish but to no avail. If I was to do it over I would steer clear of the stainless version.

Came as an upgrade to our new home selections. No fan of the ignition characteristics with this burner or the location of the burner controls. The controls are too close to the front burners, especially when lighting. The spacing on the cook top grates makes using some smaller cookware difficult without the cookware getting hung up or tipping in the spaces.

I bought this appliance last year but was only able to get it installed this year because my son in law was going to install it but was in a accident and then Covid happened and when I was able to finally get it install it was missing the burner caps and customer service was no help

Used for 6 months. Some is the eyes take FOREVER boil even a small pot of water. Other eyes work well. I have had a gas stovetop before and this one is not as efficient as the previous one.

Excellent Stove

We bought this stove over a month ago and we are obsessed! It cooks everything perfect, easy to clean and it looks so pretty too! Also It makes my cooking so much easier because i have several pots and pans going on at the same time.
